Cancel Your Account

You can cancel your SourceTag subscription at any time. Your sites remain active until the end of your current billing period.

How to cancel

  1. Log in to your SourceTag dashboard
  2. Go to Billing from the main navigation
  3. Click Manage Subscription
  4. In the Stripe customer portal, click Cancel subscription
  5. Confirm the cancellation

What happens after you cancel

Until the end of the billing period

Your subscription remains active until the date you’ve already paid through. During this time:

  • Your sites continue to work normally
  • The tracking script continues to load and capture attribution data
  • Forms continue to receive hidden field data
  • You can still access the dashboard and manage your sites

After the billing period ends

Once the paid period expires:

  • The tracking script stops serving (requests to cdn.sourcetag.io for your sites will return a 404)
  • No new attribution data is captured
  • Forms still work (they always do), but without SourceTag hidden fields
  • You can still log in to the dashboard to view your configuration

Your configuration is preserved

SourceTag keeps your account, site configuration, channel rules, and field settings intact. If you decide to resubscribe later, everything will be as you left it. You won’t need to reconfigure your channels or field mappings.

Resubscribing

If you want to reactivate your account after cancelling:

  1. Log in to your SourceTag dashboard
  2. Go to Billing
  3. Select a plan
  4. Complete the payment

Your sites and configuration will be restored immediately. The tracking script will start serving again, and attribution tracking will resume.

Removing the script from your site

After cancelling, the tracking script will stop working once your billing period ends. You don’t need to remove it from your site urgently, but it’s good practice to clean up:

  • WordPress: Deactivate and delete the SourceTag plugin
  • Other platforms: Remove the <script> tag from your site’s head
  • Cloudflare Worker: If you set up a Cloudflare Worker for server-side cookie persistence, remove or disable the worker route in your Cloudflare dashboard

Leaving the script tag in place after cancellation won’t cause any problems. The browser will simply get a 404 for the script file, which doesn’t affect your site’s functionality.

Deleting your account entirely

If you want your account and all associated data permanently deleted (not just the subscription cancelled), get in touch. We’ll delete your account, site configuration, and all associated data.
